Sapphire seas sits in the historic building known as Carlill House located in the prestigious Royal Crescent on West Cliff.
The apartment is the perfect base for families, couples or small groups of friends looking to explore the Historic town, beaches, independent shops, bars and restaurants.
This Historic building has been completely renovated in 2021. The Apartment is located on the upper ground floor beautifully decorated and furnished to a high standard.

Living and Kitchen
This inviting Holiday Apartment has high ceilings and full height sliding sash windows set in traditional wood panelling with pocket shutters kept as part of the refurb. These not only give spectacular views over Crescent Gardens and out to sea but also brings lots of natural light into the spacious open plan living, kitchen and dining area.
The contemporary kitchen is well equipped with a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, oven and induction hob, kettle, toaster and coffee machine and all the cooking equipment you need to prepare and cook meals.
Industrial style dining table with leather chairs perfect to enjoy family meals together. Chesterfield leather sofas to relax at the end of a busy day watching the Flat Screen Smart TV. There is also a DVD player and a selection of DVDs, Bluetooth radio, books and games.
Bedrooms
Two bedrooms one en-suite with super king bed, second bedroom with super king split and link bed which can be separated into two singles if requested. Both bedrooms benefit from free standing clothes rails with shelves, dressing tables with mirror and wall mounted full height mirrors. Each bed has luxury linen provided.
Bathrooms
One main bathroom and one en-suite off the master bedroom both consisting of bath sheets and hand towels, walk in showers with complementary shower gel, basin, WC, heated towel rails and mirrors with shaver sockets. The en-suite mirror is backlit with Bluetooth so you can stream and enjoy your favourite music.
Families
Families are very welcome at our Apartment we try to make your stay with us as easy as we can. Upon request we can provide a travel cot (must bring your own sheets and linen) and highchair. Due to the Apartment only having walk in showers we can provide a baby bath when requested. If needed there is a washer dryer, iron and ironing board.

Further Information
On arrival you will find a welcome pack to get you started with tea, coffee, sugar and hot chocolate sachets, coffee pods, milk and biscuits. Also, a supply of washing-up liquid J-cloth, sponge, dishwasher tablets, washing powder, bin bags, hand soap at all sinks, 2 toilet rolls in each bathroom and kitchen roll in kitchen. Unlimited WIFI is available free of charge. Sorry no pets and no smoking at this property.
At the front of the building there’s seven steps with a handrail leading to the main door, there is also access at the rear of the building with either steps up or lift. Pin codes will be sent out prior to arrival for both the digital keypads (same code for front and back) and key safe.
There is one allocated parking space available at the rear of the building the access is off Crescent Avenue under an arched entrance with a 10’3 height restriction.

Things to Do
Whitby is situated on the North Yorkshire Coast with a beautiful Blue Flag Beach. Great for visitors all year round with plenty to do in Whitby and neighbouring villages and towns such as Sandsend, Robin Hood’s Bay, Staithes, Runswick Bay, Grosmont, Goathland, Ruswarp and Scarborough.
West Cliff Whitby
Right outside the front door is the well-maintained Crescent Gardens with colourful flower beds and benches to sit and enjoy the peaceful setting. A short stroll you will find the outdoor paddling pool (seasonal), skateboarding area, bumper boats, trampoline, crazy golf, pitch and putt, foot golf (Easter- October), a tourist shop selling buckets, spades, ice-creams and public bathrooms nearby. Whitby leisure centre is also close by open to the public for indoor swimming. Along past the crazy golf you can find Whitby Cliff Lift for a quick and convenient trip up and down to the beach.
Whitby Pavilion
All year you will find lots of events and entertainment in Whitby Pavilion and Conference Venue and around town, such as Music weekends, Craft Fairs, Gospel Music, Folk week, Scooter Rally, Goth and Steam Punk Weekends and Whitby Regatta. Whalebone Arch
The Whalebone Arch and The Statue of Captain James Cook can be found South of Crescent Gardens with spectacular views of the Piers and Abbey Ruins.
Whitby Harbour
A bustling fishing harbour with plenty to do and see from catching a boat trip or just watching them come in and out, you might even catch the swing bridge opening. A popular choice for the children is crabbing or having fun in the amusements. Enjoy wandering the shops, eating delicious food or relax with a drink in the many restaurants, cafes and bars.
Whitby Abbey
The Abbey ruins are set high on a cliff top, for nearly 1500 years the Abbey has been attracting visitors, its known that Bram Stoker got his inspiration to write the novel ‘Dracula’ from the Abbey and Whitby. One way to reach the Abbey is from the old town up the famous 199 steps.
West Cliff Beach
A large sandy beach accessed by numerous points along the cliff down long ramps to reach the bottom or using the Cliff Lift (summer months). West Cliff beach is home to the colourful line of beach huts available for hire. Near the slipway at west pier, you can hire deckchairs and windbreaks. Lifeguards are there from May-September.
Tate Hill Beach
A small sandy sheltered beach located on the east side close to the east pier and not far from the 199 steps. No lifeguards on this beach.
The Town
With lots of independent shops, restaurants, cafes and bars you will be spoilt for choice, make sure to explore the old town over the swing bridge with its narrow-cobbled streets, you will find quaint shops including shops selling Whitby Jet that’s considered to be the best jet around and found in the cliffs of Whitby.
